AS the day approaches that some love and some hate for their own different reasons, I am here to tell you that you can make it through no matter what your relationship status is. Let’s get to the main reason people hate this day; it’s so much pressure. And it can be, but why let it? If you treat every day like it’s a special day with your partner, then this stress of the “One Day” won’t be as difficult. How about this as a concept… be that Man 365 days. Why do we need a day to be romantic? Why do we wait for that one day to be special? Do you love your partner? Then show that person, every damn day. Here are a few things that you can do to make your significant other feel special more days that just the 14th of February.
Write them a letter. Don’t text it or email it. Go to the store and buy a pen and paper and handwrite out a note to them. You would be surprised at how much they will appreciate the time spent on something so simple.
Massage them by candlelight. Everyone works their ass off, take the time away from the tv and your phone, light some candles and put on some music and give them a massage. Foot massage, hand massage, back massage. All three. The intimacy of this experience as well as unplugging will fill yourself as well as your partner with great positive energy and love.
A follow up to that last one, just take a night and turn the tech off. Sit and share a glass of wine and just be in each others presence. Too much of our world in this age is spent online or plugged into something.
